VERY FAST SETTING, LOW SLUMP, CONCRETE REPAIR
MORTAR
Description
SEALTIGHT MEADOW-PATCH 5 is a one
component, cementitious, very fast setting restoration / repair mortar designed
for vertical, overhead and horizontal applications. This very rapid setting, low
slump repair mortar may be trowelled, shaped, molded, and shaved for 4-6 minutes
before taking an initial set. MEADOW-PATCH 5 is an excellent patching solution
for difficult vertical / overhead applications without using expensive and
intricate forming techniques.
USES
SEALTIGHT MEADOW-PATCH 5 is easy to mix and apply.
This very fast setting, low slump mortar is designed to minimize downtime.
Because of its versatility MEADOW-PATCH 5 can be used vertically, horizontally,
or overhead. Whether the installation is interior or exterior; MEADOW-PATCH 5 is
an excellent choice for fast repairs above grade, below grade, or on grade.
Because of its non-sag consistency and extremely fast setting times,

COVERAGE
MEADOW-PATCH 5 yield per 50 lb. bag is 0.45 ft³ (0.013m³)
SURFACE PREPARATION
Mechanically abrade existing substrate to remove all unsound concrete, but do
not use excessive force which may cause micro- fracturing. Prepare surface in
accordance with ICRI Technical Guide No. 03730. Substrate must be structurally
sound and free of grease, oil, dirt or any other contaminants that can adversely
affect the bond. Prepared surface must be dust free and have sufficient profile
to ensure adequate mechanical lock. Substrate must be saturated, surface dry (SSD)
and free of standing water.
MIXING
MEADOW-PATCH 5 requires approximately 4 quarts (3.78/L) of potable water per
50lb. (22.7kg.) bag. Mix material in manageable quantities to obtain a stiff,
lump-free consistency within 60 seconds. Do not mix more material than can be
placed and finished within 3-5 minutes at 77° F (25° C). Do not over mix or
re-temper.
PLACEMENT
The properly prepared SSD repair area should be brushed with a slurry coat just
before placing. Do not allow slurry coat to dry; immediately work MEADOW-PATCH 5
into the patch, compacting the material well against the substrate. Overfill, if
desired to allow for shaping, molding, or shaving. For deeper repair areas do
not exceed 2" per lift. As ambient, substrate & mix water temperature
increases set time decreases, and as temperature decreases set time will
increase.
CURING
MEADOW- PATCH 5 must be cured in accordance with ACI 308 utilizing a suitable
curing compound such as SEALTIGHT 1100 Series or SEALTIGHT 1200 Series. Protect
from rapid early water loss.
SHELF LIFE
1-year, when left in original, unopened packaging and stored indoors.
PACKAGING
50 LB Bag; Color: Gray
